Hi, I'm Chirag Sachdeva, the founder of 1ClickImpact. I started this company because I got tired of giving without ever knowing if it was real. For years I gave to causes I cared about, like trees and oceans. Sometimes online, sometimes rounding up at a store register, sometimes adding a dollar at checkout. Whatever the form, it usually ended the same way. No photo, no proof, no sign that the thing I'd funded had actually happened anywhere. I think most of us are just assuming it did.

What I figured out is that trust isn't really a feeling. It's a memory of evidence. Every time you give and never see what happened, a small part of you files it away under "we don't really know." It isn't anyone's fault. Most organizations are built to do the work, not to send proof. So everyone accepts the black box, and the black box slowly wears down trust.

I spent years as an engineering researcher at CMU, Stanford, and Georgia Tech, and later building systems at Amazon and Twitch. That work taught me to trust what you can measure and verify, not what you're just asked to assume. The more I sat with the giving problem, the more it looked like an engineering problem: the loop just wasn't closing. So I built 1ClickImpact to close it. It's a simple set of tools that let any business, developer, or person plant trees, capture carbon, and clean oceans, and then actually see it happen. Every contribution traces back to a specific action, in a specific place, with proof you don't have to go looking for. I'd rather show you than tell you.

I care about this because of the future. My wife and I are building a life together, and someday we hope to raise kids who inherit a planet still worth inheriting. She's been there for it from the start, talking it through and keeping me going on the days I doubted it would work. I didn't want to spend years saying we were "doing our part" while quietly wondering whether any of it was real. I wanted to be able to point at something and say, that one's ours, we planted it, here's the photo. That's what we want for you, too.
