Every tree planted creates a ripple effect that transforms entire ecosystems. Through our partnerships with Planting On Demand and Trees for the Future, we plant both regular trees for forest restoration and food trees for community nutrition and income. From reforesting degraded lands to supporting local communities, our tree planting projects are creating lasting change across the globe.
We plant both regular trees for environmental restoration and food trees for community empowerment.

Dream International was started in 2015 as a community tree and forest restoration project in the Rwenzori Mountain ecosystem. They work to restore one of Africa's biodiversity hotspots, providing nature-based solutions for healthy environment and healthy people.
Uganda
Meet Enoch Makobi, whose journey from family farm to TREES Uganda Country Director exemplifies the transformational power of sustainable agriculture. From witnessing tragedy in his community to becoming a leader in Forest Garden implementation, Enoch's story shows how one person's commitment can impact thousands of lives.

Enoch Makobi's journey from family farm to TREES Uganda Country Director.
Growing up on his family's farm in eastern Uganda, Enoch Makobi learned early that farming was about more than just growing crops - it was about survival, community, and hope for the future. His journey from a small family farm to becoming Uganda's Country Director for Trees for the Future represents decades of dedication to sustainable agriculture and community development.
The turning point came in 2010 when a devastating landslide in Bududa claimed over 300 lives, including Enoch's friends and family members. This tragedy reinforced his belief that sustainable land management isn't just an environmental issue - it's a matter of life and death for rural communities.
Today, as Country Director, Enoch leads TREES' efforts across Uganda, training farmers in the Forest Garden Approach - a sustainable land-use system that integrates trees with crops and livestock. Under his leadership, thousands of farmers have transformed degraded land into productive, resilient agricultural systems.
"When farmers see their neighbors succeeding with Forest Gardens, they want to learn. It's not just about planting trees - it's about transforming lives and building resilient communities."
Kenya
Meet David Abach, a Kenyan farmer whose Forest Garden transformation demonstrates the incredible potential of sustainable agriculture. In just three years, David has gone from 12 trees to over 3,300 trees on his farm, creating a thriving ecosystem that supports both his family and the environment. His success story shows how individual farmers can become catalysts for community-wide change.

David's forest garden is making all the difference using sustainable practices.
David Abach was struggling with poor soil quality and declining crop yields on his small farm in Kenya. Like many farmers in the region, he faced the challenge of feeding his family while dealing with unpredictable weather patterns and degraded land that seemed to get worse each year.
Through Trees for the Future's Forest Garden Program, David learned how to integrate trees with his crops in a sustainable system. He started small, but his dedication and the program's proven methods led to remarkable results - transforming 12 scattered trees into a thriving forest garden of over 3,300 trees.
David's success has created a ripple effect throughout his community. His forest garden now serves as a demonstration site where neighboring farmers come to learn about sustainable agriculture. The trees have improved his soil quality, created a beneficial microclimate, and provided multiple income streams through timber, fruit, and improved crop yields.
"The Forest Garden has completely changed my life. My soil is richer, my crops are stronger, and I can feed my family year-round. Other farmers see what I've accomplished and want to learn."
