Green Youth Collective (GYC) is a Vietnamese social enterprise that operates community learning centers focused on zero-waste farming, regenerative agriculture, and environmental education. The organization reaches farmers, youth groups, and rural cooperatives across Vietnam, equipping them with practical knowledge to transition away from chemical-intensive farming toward regenerative systems.
Through hands-on agroforestry training, GYC helps communities design multi-layered food forests that produce diverse crops while simultaneously building soil carbon, increasing water retention, and providing habitat for birds, insects, and other wildlife. Demonstration plots serve as living classrooms where participants can observe the ecological and economic results of regenerative practices.
GYC's integrated model addresses both environmental restoration and social resilience — reducing farmer vulnerability to climate shocks, diversifying food sources, and opening new income streams through sustainably harvested forest products. Their work supports Vietnam's broader goal of increasing forest cover and building climate-adaptive rural economies.
