About Artefact
Artefact runs two tattoo studios in Baden-Württemberg. The original is in Achern, in the Ortenaukreis, and most of the realism work happens there. The second is inside a shopping center in Weil am Rhein, ten minutes from Basel, and stays open until eight in the evening.
It is not a walk-in shop. Each idea goes to the artist who specializes in that kind of work. The studio calls this the fitting artist. Realism is the focus: portraits and animals, in black and gray or in color. Cover-ups come to it from across the region, including ones another studio has already turned down.
Everything starts with a free consultation in the studio. A customer brings whatever they have: screenshots, a sketch, a board of saved images. They leave with a matched artist, a hand-drawn template and a fixed price for the piece.
“No tree stands here unless somebody earned it.”
From Artefact’s public tree page, translated from the Germanpflege.artefact-tattoo.de ↗Why they added impact
Artefact has more than five hundred Google reviews at Achern alone, all five stars, and the studio says not one of them was bought. Each new review earns the customer a tree.
The offer sits on the aftercare page, which customers reach from a QR code on the business card they take home. It is not on the main website.
What they chose
- TriggerA customer leaves a Google reviewEach confirmed review plants one tree and sends a numbered certificate back over WhatsApp.
- Carried byAPIThe API plants the tree once the review is confirmed. Nobody in the studio presses anything.

- On the recordThe record updatesEach unit lands in the account's own impact record with its project attached.
Artefact funds trees only. It publishes its own forest page, where every tree is listed by number and can be filtered by studio. A first name is shown only where that customer agreed to it. The forest page listed thirty-eight trees when we checked. Artefact has funded 100 trees through 1ClickImpact so far.
Artefact does not learn who wrote which review. It watches the public review count on its own Google profile. When the count goes up, it sends a certificate to the phone number that asked for one. If no confirmed review arrives within three weeks, the request lapses.
Trees for the Future runs the Kenyan and Ugandan projects. It plants forest gardens, and the families who tend them eat from them. The full breakdown is below: each project, its country, and how many trees Artefact has funded there.
