About MemoriTree
MemoriTree is based in New York and builds digital memorials. A family gets a tribute page for stories and photographs, an assistant that helps write the obituary, sympathy flowers arranged through local florists, and a memorial tree. MemoriTree describes this as “living memorials for the loved ones we’ve lost, combining technology with reforestation”. The tribute page stays online, and the tree keeps growing.
The tree planting runs on 1ClickImpact. Each tree goes to one of six projects, and the family gets a certificate that says which project it went to and when.

Published by MemoriTree on its own sitememoritree.com ↗Why they added impact
MemoriTree exists because its founders lost people close to them and found the memorial options on offer impersonal or limited. So they built the one they had wanted themselves. As MemoriTree puts it: “Every memory is a seed — we help it grow.”
MemoriTree chose 1ClickImpact so a family can see proof that the tree was planted. A family can check the species, the country, the project and the date on MemoriTree’s public profile.

MemoriTree funds trees only. For a family, one tree is simple to explain and simple to check later.
Four of the six projects are run by Trees for the Future: forest gardens in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania, plus Great Green Wall agroforestry in Senegal. The other two are Planting on Demand in Sierra Leone and the Think Good Foundation’s Kesar mango program in India. The species planted are native to each region.
Each planting is recorded with its location, each project has photographs, and the Sierra Leone project runs live planting sessions a family can watch. The full breakdown is below: every project, the country it is in, who delivers it, and how many trees MemoriTree has funded there.
