About SoleDrift

SoleDrift’s app maps waterfalls, swim holes, rock pools and quiet beaches that do not come up in a normal search. Each spot comes with coordinates, directions and location details. It is an Australian company that started as a website and now covers Australia and the UK.

You pay for a membership and it unlocks the map. Members can suggest new spots in a members-only chat, and the SoleDrift team checks each one before it is added. SoleDrift calls its members “a global community for outdoor explorers”.

Why they added impact

A hidden swim spot stays nice because few people go there. SoleDrift’s whole business is telling more people where to go. The founders are open about that, and they deal with it in two ways.

The first is rules. Every member agrees to Leave No Trace: take your rubbish home, stay on the path, and leave the place as you found it.

The second is putting money back into the environment. SoleDrift tells its members up front that every membership funds real projects, from planting forests to pulling plastic out of the sea. That is the part 1ClickImpact runs.

The ocean plastic is collected in Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines, and the coral is restored in Indonesia. Trees go in the ground in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, and the carbon is removed in Brazil.
